FAST Engine Features

• Design
• Encodes and decodes FAST data streams using the fully FAST 1.1 compliant,low-latency Rapid Addition FAST engine
• Supports multiple channels per instance
• Plug-in architecture allows customers that transform to FAST streams to/from any custom format
• Pluggable stream input/output adaptors allowing RA-Quantum to read/write using any communication protocol (out-of-the-box support for UDP and direct call from .NET code).
• Adaptive compression. Reduces UDP/IP/Ethernet packet overhead by coalescing multiple input messages into one output packet
• Traffic shaping. Configurable bandwidth and/or message rate caps to smooth output and prioritise critical data streams during peak traffic. Caps can be applied to single channels or across all channels running on the same instance.
